Awards and honors

l   Prof. Chia-Chu Pao won the honorable Academic Research Awards (ASA) issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan in 1991-1993 and 1993-1995. The ASA serves to recognize the achievements of high-achieving faculty whose representative contributions to research.

l   Prof. Albert M. Wu won three consecutive Academic Research Awards (ASA) from the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan in 1997-1999, 1999-2001, and 2001-2003. The Editor of bestseller “The Molecular Immunology of Complex Carbohydrates” (Previous editions © 1988, 2001 by Kluwer Academic / Plenum Publishers; © 2011 by Springer). Fourth edition is scheduled to print in 2017.

l   Prof. Chuck CK Chao won the Academic Research Awards (ASA) from the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan in 1991-1993 and 1993-1995；Outstanding Scholarship awarded by the Dr. Yuan-Tseh Lee Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship (FAOS) (1995~2000)；was elected as the very first Chair Professor (2011-2014) at Chang Gung University.

l   Prof. Jim-Tong Horng joins the Editorial Board of Antiviral Research (2012-2015, 2016-2019) and Journal of Virological Methods (2016-2019). Both prestigious Journals have made important contribution to the field of Virology since 1980’s with 2016 Impact Factor of 4.909 (AVR) and 1.508.

l   Prof. Li-Mei Pai is as an International Representative of Asia of the Drosophila Board (2016-2019). The Drosophila Board is a representative group of working scientists who use Drosophila as their primary model organism.
